The opening page of Saul Alinsky’s book, Rules For Radicals, has this statement for the entire world to see,
“Lest we forget at least an over-the-shoulder acknowledgement to the very first radical: from all our legends, mythology, and history (and who is to know where mythology leaves off and history begins -or which is which), the first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom — Lucifer.”
Make no mistake about it; this book is the blueprint for the progressive leftist tactics we continue to confront today (I will get into those tactics in later posts). Consciously or unconsciously, the tactics subscribed to by Alinsky, as I will demonstrate, were used in the Garden of Eden to tempt and bring about the fall of man. Additionally, the above quote shows that those who follow the Luciferian doctrine deceive themselves into thinking they can win territory apart from God and to ultimately dethrone the Creator.
“Thy pride is brought down to hell, thy carcass is fallen down: under thee shall the moth be strewed, and worms shall be thy covering. How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, who didst rise in the morning? How art thou fallen to the earth, that didst wound the nations? And thou said in thy heart: I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God, I will sit in the mountain of the covenant, in the sides of the north. I will ascend above the height of the clouds; I will be like the most High. But yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, into the depth of the pit. They that shall see thee, shall turn toward thee, and behold thee. Is this the man that troubled the earth, that shook kingdoms, that made the world a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof, that opened not the prison to his prisoners?” – Isaiah 14:14-17 (my emphasis)
As Scripture teaches, Lucifer rebelled against God and was cast out of heaven. He did not win a kingdom for himself. He has been condemned by his rebellion and is subject to the wrath of God. The deceiver is filled with hatred for those who carry the image of the Triune God and works to bring more souls with him into eternal damnation. This is the spiritual warfare Saint Paul speaks of in Ephesians. The true enemy is the Devil and his fallen army of demonic foot soldiers.
The only way to defeat the Devil and his works is through the power of the Gospel, that is Christ crucified and risen from the dead.
It is also important to take note that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is not meant only for individuals to save their souls. The Gospel is also a communal call, a decree to “baptize the nations” into the teachings of Christ the King. This decree should significantly influence how we view the socioeconomic and political order. Indeed, this is a command to build Christendom, or in our current situation, to rebuild Christendom. When secular progressive liberals are willing to adopt the tactics of a man whom openly praises Lucifer, why are we fearful of proclaiming the social Kingship of Christ?
