The Franciscan Intellectual Tradition

Dr. Jared Goff discusses the Franciscan Intellectual Tradition and its unity within the context of the theological and philosophical thought of Saint Bonaventure and Blessed John Duns Scotus. Saint Bonaventure, the Seraphic Doctor, was the first to bring forth an intellectual tradition of the mystical and spiritual life of St. Francis of Assisi. And as I have discussed in other posts, far from abandoning the Seraphic Doctor, Bl. John Duns Scotus, the Subtle Doctor, re-formulates and perfects what Bonaventure started.
